Formed in 1997 by Paul Small, Alban Cleaning came about after Paul spotted an opportunity to deliver a higher level cleaning service for local companies.

Paul was working in an office environment and saw that the contract cleaning being delivered was lacking in service. He started his own cleaning company which soon grew, and many commercial premises and offices began to use their services. Over time, while gaining expertise, experience and training qualifications, Alban Cleaning Services (ACS) grew to cover Hertfordshire, encompassing St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Watford and surrounding areas, employing over 60 operatives on-site daily. As well as contract cleaning, they also provide a fantastic range of cleaning machines.

All staff are fully employed by Alban Cleaning and are properly vetted, reference-checked, and where required, hold Enhanced CRB checks. With ID badges and uniform, our staff will lend an air of professionalism to their tasks, something you can expect throughout our operations. We are also now a corporate member of the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) and are working towards becoming an official training centre.
